My nature drives me to take what is internal and living inside my being, and make it external, visible, and touchable. These internal ideas that bounce around inside of me are like ghosts; they are full of energy, but they easily change shape and hide from my scrutiny. The expert elusiveness of my thoughts makes them almost impossible to catch and analyze up close. Whenever I find one of my ghost-thoughts especially captivating, I feel a deep need to force it out of the confines of myself; I do this by creating an image or a word arrangement, using any medium necessary and available. These media have included magazines, thread, dryer sheets, ink, paint, spoken word, folk music, zip lock bags, cardboard, and wood. Video is soon to come.
