Ashby Foote is a vibrant artist who was born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi.
She received her BFA in Painting and Art History from Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi in May 2008.
In June 2008, Ashby moved to Washington D.C. to teach art classes for all ages. She soon successfully built a community arts outreach program at Columbia Baptist Church.
After getting involved with the local community, Ashby began to work with a local artist’s company, Left Noodle, Right Noodle, teaching Global Arts Odyssey classes in 10 metropolitan D.C. schools.
Ashby is pursuing her MA in Community Arts to learn all she can about connecting her two passions, art and the community, in a sustainable way.
